The children from 3rd-6th Classes made a much welcomed return to The Diamond in Donegal Town today as the school took part in the carol singing organised by Donegal Town Business Focus Group. Mrs McDaid, as always, was the choir leader and the children represented the school excellently. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part, and thank you to Donegal Town Business Focus Group for the treats for the children after they had finished singing – much appreciated!

A very successful fundraising tractor run took place at the school yesterday. This is the first time we have held such a fundraiser and it will definitely be an annual event from here on! Great to see such a large turnout and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year! Thanks to everyone who supported this fundraiser.

The Parents Association have been busy making plans for fundraising for the school. This week will see their ‘Turkey Bowl’ fundraiser which will be based on a game played between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants on Thursday 24th November. The photo above shows the numbers as drawn in the school this morning by Principal Rory O’Donnell and Roisín McFadden, the organiser of the fundraiser. Junior & Senior Infants made scones today. We all took turns at mixing and kneading the dough. Then everyone cut out a scone and we baked them in the oven. After lunch we got to eat our scones and they were delicious!

5th Class visited Junior Infants this week and read them stories. They also helped the Infants to make jigsaws. Everyone worked really well together.
