Mock Presidential Election
Mock Presidential Election

The upcoming Presidential Election gave the pupils the opportunity to learn about the election process in Ireland by carrying out their own mock election. The candidates worked hard to try and secure the votes of the pupils who voted on the day and the election officials were on hand to ensure a smooth voting process. As for the winner? Rumour has it the votes are still being counted ……!

We had a special little visitor to the school today as Fionn and Odhráns Daddy brought in a spring lamb for the children to see. Everyone was very excited to see the lamb. Our thanks to Seamus for taking the time to bring it in.

OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS VISIT THE SCHOOL!
OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS VISIT THE SCHOOL!

We were absolutely delighted to welcome paralympic champions Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly to school this morning as they spoke to the children about their careers and showed them not only their olympic medals but also their recent gold medals from the paracycling road world championships. To hear the inspiring stories of the success of these ladies after a very challenging year certainly brought about much pride for them within the school. We are always proud of our Irish athletes and to have one with a connection to the Parish of Inver who was so kind as to come to school to showcase their medals is certainly a memory for the pupils here to treasure. Our thanks to Katie-George and Linda – well done to you both!
