The pupils of 5th & 6th Classes did some colouring work with the Infant Classroom this week.
The Infant Class are learning about nature and biodiversity and have been busy planting their seeds!
Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed a daily extra playtime this week as a reward for filling their ‘Bucket of Kindness’ during lent. Good fun was had by all and the pupils have been practising ball skills, skipping, balancing etc., using the school’s P.E. equipment. Thankfully the weather has been on our side!
We had a very active day at school today to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! All the children have been learning Irish and Céilà Dancing for the past week or two and all the new skills learned were put into practice as the children took part in their céilÃ. We also held our annual parade on the school yard, accompanied by our brilliant musicians. Lots of art and crafts went home, as well as certificates for Seachtain na Gaeilge Well done everyone! The pupils in Junior & Senior Infants brought their favourite books to school today for World Book Day. They showed their books to the class and told everyone what their book was about and why they chose it. Senior Infants completed a book review and drew their favourite illustration from the book.
We also designed our own bookmarks and cut them out when we were finished.
Junior & Senior Infants made scones today. We all took turns at mixing and kneading the dough. Then everyone cut out a scone and we baked them in the oven. After lunch we got to eat our scones and they were delicious!
5th Class visited Junior Infants this week and read them stories. They also helped the Infants to make jigsaws. Everyone worked really well together.
The Infants used our school iPads this week as we all learned a little bit about ICT!
Every year the school supports the Team Hope Appeal, which brings a Christmas shoe box of gifts to children less fortunate than the pupils here at St. Naul’s. As always our parent community were very generous in their contributions and the boxes are still arriving! Our Junior Infants were happy to show some of the boxes that were donated. Thank you to everyone who supported this worthwhile cause.
Some very scary costumes were on show as our Infants dressed up for Halloween on the last day before mid-term. As always they had lots of fund with their Halloween party games!
