A very successful fundraising tractor run took place at the school yesterday. This is the first time we have held such a fundraiser and it will definitely be an annual event from here on! Great to see such a large turnout and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year! Thanks to everyone who supported this fundraiser.

The Parents Association have been busy making plans for fundraising for the school. This week will see their ‘Turkey Bowl’ fundraiser which will be based on a game played between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants on Thursday 24th November. The photo above shows the numbers as drawn in the school this morning by Principal Rory O’Donnell and RoisÃn McFadden, the organiser of the fundraiser. Junior & Senior Infants made scones today. We all took turns at mixing and kneading the dough. Then everyone cut out a scone and we baked them in the oven. After lunch we got to eat our scones and they were delicious!

Donie from St. Naul’s GAA & LGFA Club came to the school today to start some training with all the classes. We were delighted to welcome Donie back to the school to teach some ball skills.

The children of 3rd & 4th Classes got their hands dirty for Science Week. We were building birds nests using natural materials like twigs, moss, leaves and muck! It was a great way to explore our outdoor environment.
