While our Infants to 2nd Class pupils took part in sports activities at the school, our 3rd-6th Class pupils spent the morning on a cycle to the beach. After their walk to the Warren yesterday they certainly enjoyed the cycle there today! Our thanks to Sean Gallagher for organising the cycle, and to Enya, Grace, Paul and Kevin for their assistance.

Our 3rd-6th Class pupils spent the morning playing games and helping with the school cycling activities with the Infants-2nd Classes. Then it was their turn for an active walk, as we headed off to the beach. A lovely stroll to the Warren followed by games on the beach!

Our Active Week got off to a great start with the weather being very cooperative! Everyone was happy to get outside and play games on the yard, and in between the outside games we played games in the classroom and GP room!

Such excitement here at St. Naul’s this morning as Santa came to visit all the boys and girls! He told them how good they have been all year and that he will be back to see them all again on Christmas Eve! Happy Christmas from all of us here.

We were very lucky this morning when Santa took time out of his very busy schedule to come along and see the children here. He started by walking around outside the school past all the windows, which brought about a lot of excitement in all the rooms! Our thanks to our Parents Association, who contacted Santa and asked him to come to visit. A great way to start our Christmas holidays!

This afternoon saw the first showing of our Christmas Nativity Play. The children have all been working very hard over the last number of weeks practising their singing and lines. They were delighted to see a great crowd of parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends turn up to see them! Our thanks to Mrs Gavigan and Mrs McDaid for all their work preparing the children for the play, and to all the staff members who helped with costumes and props. As always, Barbara McGroary became our official photographer and her photographs will be on display here as soon as we have them. In the meantime, here are a few of our own (albeit unprofessional!) photographs.
