We took two separate tours this year to the same venue – Finn Valley Centre. All the children took part in a day of sporting activities and games and some of them even got to meet boxer Jason Quigley and see the coastguard helicopter up close!
Our thanks to the Parents Association for their contribution towards the cost of the buses for the tours. The children all had a fantastic day out and arrived home happy and tired!

The children of 5th & 6th Classes held a cake sale at the school recently where they all baked at home and sold their ‘goodies’ to the pupils and staff of the school. They wanted to make a donation to a local charity from the money raised and decided to donate to the Bluestack Foundation.
Well done to all the pupils to baked the cakes and buns, and for making their donation to the Bluestack Foundation – a very worthwhile local charity.

The pupils of 5th & 6th Classes were learning about business and decided to hold a bake sale. They advertised in the school and most of the children baked some goodies which they would then sell at the bake sale. It was a huge success with plenty of eager customers queuing up to buy the stock! When the sale was over, the ‘company’ had to pay back their suppliers (the parents and guardians!) and any profit made will be used for pupil benefits.

Our U11 girls Indoor Football Team competed in the County Indoor Football final blitz in Burnfoot on Monday 12th December. The girls qualified for this by winning the Southern Division and competed against five other regional winners on the day. The girls defeated Glengad and Fintown to progress to the County Final against Scoil Iosagaín Buncrana, where they were defeated by the smallest of margins 1-08 to 1-07. As this competition was open to all schools in Donegal it was a great achievement as the girls were competing against much larger schools. 48 schools took part in the competition so well done to our girls on a great achievement!
