Junior & Senior Infants went on a minibeast hunt along our Active School Walkway. We used our magnifying glasses to get a really good look at all the minibeasts!

We have taken full advantage of the great weather we have been having over the past couple of weeks, and the children of 1st & 2nd Classes certainly enjoyed getting outside to do some reading in the sunshine!

Niamh from the Donegal Sports Partnership came to the school today as part of the Ag Sugradh le Chéile project, which aims to promote active play between parents and children. The parents/grandparents of the Junior and Senior Infants were invited to school and as you can see from the photographs – a lot of fun was had by all!

The pupils of 5th & 6th Classes were delighted to see how our tadpoles are progressing. We now have froglets!

Peter came to the school recently to tell the children of 3rd & 4th Classes a little bit about his job as a soldier. He explained to them what life is like in the army. Our thanks to Peter for coming along.

Something Fishy!
Something Fishy!

Inland Fisheries Ireland visited the school recently to teach the pupils a little bit about fish, water, angling and the environment. After a presentation given to the 5th & 6th Class pupils, everyone got a chance to have a look at the various fish! As you can seen from the photographs, everyone from Infants all the way up to 6th Class was very interested in Something Fishy!

We had to collect some river water for our tadpoles this week. Master O’Donnell pulled on the wellies, ably helped by Ethan and Gavin!
