Inland Fisheries Ireland visited the school recently to teach the pupils a little bit about fish, water, angling and the environment. After a presentation given to the 5th & 6th Class pupils, everyone got a chance to have a look at the various fish! As you can seen from the photographs, everyone from Infants all the way up to 6th Class was very interested in Something Fishy!

We had to collect some river water for our tadpoles this week. Master O’Donnell pulled on the wellies, ably helped by Ethan and Gavin!

The pupils of 5th & 6th Classes did some colouring work with the Infant Classroom this week.

The pupils of 3rd & 4th Classes participated in group work to create different human structures, letters and household items. All good work carried out for team bonding!

Supervalu Lets Grow Programme

1st & 2nd Class Pupils have enjoyed some planting as part of the Supervalu Lets Grow Programme. They have planted cress seeds, pumpkin seeds, peas and salad leaves. We can’t wait until they start to grow!

The Infant Class are learning about nature and biodiversity and have been busy planting their seeds!

The pupils here at St. Naul’s always plant various flowers and vegetables as part of our school garden. This has continued as part of our Green Schools Project on Biodiversity. The children of 3rd & 4th Classes have planted onions, as well as potatoes and strawberries. We are hoping for a big crop!

We are delighted to announce the launch of our annual cycle/walk/run fundraiser here at St. Naul’s! This is always a great event for the school and the wider community and we look forward to seeing everyone here on the 18th June!

Last Person Standing – Winner!

Congratulations to Fergal Heena who was the lucky winner of our €500 prize for our Last Person Standing competition. The competition was a great success and we are egding ever closer to our target for the completion of our artificial playground. Our thanks to Fergal, who kindly donated €100 of his winnings back to the school for the playground fund. A gesture very much appreciated by everyone here at the school.
