Making Books for the Infants!
Making Books for the Infants!

The 5th & 6th Classes started making their books for the Infants. We interviewed the Infants and asked them all about their favourite things. When we have finished this we will each start to write a small book for each child.

Infant Room Team Teaching
Infant Room Team Teaching

Over the past weeks the Infant Room have been taking part in ‘team teaching’ where they work in small groups with the help of a group of teachers – each teacher taking one group. This is a very successful teaching method for pupils of all age groups and is something each class takes part in over the school year.

5-A-Side Soccer
5-A-Side Soccer

On the 12th April our boys soccer team travelled to Ballyare in Letterkenny on the school bus. We had won our local division unbeaten at Eany Celtic the previous Friday on a very wet day.

When we arrived in Ballyare, our first match was against Keadue. The match was very even and the points were shared as we drew 1-1, our goal coming from Odhrán. Our second match was against Dobhar. The result was the same as our first game, with Dermot scoring the goal against a very strong team.

The next game was against Umlagh. Again we drew , this time with a scoreline of 2-2 with goals from Alex and Dermot. In our final game we were beaten by Comín. They were an all round strong team and went on to win the game 3-1. This team actually went on to win the whole tournament.

We cannot forget Oisín as he made some very important saves and William was very pivotal in our performances as he took every opportunity to close down the opposing defenders.

At the end of a great day we got to stop in the shop. We done to our panel Oisín, William, Fearghal, Alex, Dara, Dermot, Aaron and Odhrán.

Report by Dermot.

Cúchulainn Battles Ferdia!
Cúchulainn Battles Ferdia!

In history we read the story of Cúchulainn. In pairs we wrote a drama and performed it for our class. Each pair had a part of the story to write about and perform. By Lucy.
