We are very proud of our Green School Status here at St. Naul’s National School, and have now achieved five Green Flags:<\/p>\n

  1. Litter & Waste<\/li>\n
  2.  Energy<\/li>\n
  3. Water<\/li>\n
  4. Travel<\/li>\n
  5. Biodiversity – we were awarded Biodiversity School of the Year in 2024\/2025!

    <\/p>\n

    Each Green School Project is based around Seven Steps:<\/p>\n

    Step 1 \u2013<\/span> Green School Committee. <\/p>\n

    Step 2 \u2013<\/span> Environmental Review. <\/p>\n

    Step 3 \u2013<\/span> Action Plan \u2013 this states what our targets are and how we are going to achieve them. <\/p>\n

    Step 4 \u2013<\/span> Monitoring and Evaluation <\/p>\n

    Step 5 \u2013<\/span> Curriculum work. <\/p>\n

    Step 6 \u2013<\/span> Informing and Involving. This step will be our chance to inform the parents and wider community about the work we have been doing. <\/p>\n

    Step 7 \u2013<\/span> Green School Code. We always have great fun with this step! We hold an art competition to design a character and motto to represent our project! We have had \u2018Barry the Binman\u2019, \u2018Sonic The Switch\u2019, \u2018Danny the Drain\u2019 and \u2018Gary the Grape\u2019 to name but a few!<\/p>\n

    We are enjoying working on our Green School Project and look forward to achieving our next Green Flag for our school!<\/span><\/p>\n
